Lou Reed visiting Mick Rock’s photography exhibition at Govinda Gallery

In April 1999, legendary songwriter and musician Lou Reed visited Govinda Gallery to see Mick Rock’s exhibition A Photographic Record.  This photograph shows Lou Reed with gallery director Chris Murray enjoying Mick Rock’s contact sheet images of Reed.  The cover image for Reed’s iconic album Transformer was taken from this photo session by Mick Rock.  Mick Rock’s photographs are featured in the exhibition Who Shot Rock & Roll at the Brooklyn Museum opening today and continuing through January 31st.
