Chris Blackwell and Guests at Govinda Gallery

by Chris Murray on December 21, 2010

Chris Blackwell’s book signing at Govinda Gallery was a very strong groove. With the music of Bob Marley, King Sunny Ade, and Jimmy Cliff playing, Blackwell graciously inscribed everyone’s copy of Keep on Running: The Story of Island Records. Here are some pictures from that evening and a link to National Public Radio’s interview with Blackwell that same day. This past weekend The Financial Times published a story about Blackwell’s new resort GoldenEye, Ian Flemming’s former home on the north coast of Jamaica. Its a terrific story. Also check out Judith Beermans’ blog on Blackwell’s book signing at Govinda for The Georgetown Dish.
