Donovan and the launch of Sound and Vision: Monumental Rock & Roll Photography at The Gibbes Museum in Charleston, South Carolina

by Chris Murray on November 30, 2012

The Sound and Vision: Monumental Rock & Roll Photography exhibition looked terrific in the main gallery of The Gibbes Museum in Charleston, South Carolina. The opening night reception was held September 21st, on a beautiful Charleston evening. With a crowd of museum supporters on hand, Gibbes Museum board of directors member Alice Wyatt welcomed everyone to the show and introduced Sound and Vision curator Chris Murray, and Donovan who is featured in the exhibition in Barry Feinstein’s extraordinary photograph.

The following evening a lively party and fundraiser for The Gibbes Museum was held at the home of art collector and museum patron Michael Meyer, sponsored by the 1858 Society. A good time was had by all!!!

Charleston City Paper published a feature story on the exhibition. Here is a link to that story and photos of the exhibit opening and the party.
