Rolling Stones: 50×20 (Insight Editions, 2012).

Govinda Gallery celebrates the publication of Rolling Stones 50×20, edited and with an introduction by gallery director Chris Murray. Published on the occasion of the Rolling Stones’ 50th anniversary, Murray writes in the introduction that “This book is a ‘tip-of-the-hat’ to the greatest rock ‘n’ roll band in the world.” The beautiful hardback volume also includes a foreword by Richard Harrington, and an afterword by Chris Salewicz. Rolling Stones 50×20 features the photographs of Gus Coral, Bob Bonis, Eric Swayne, Gered Mankowitz, Jan Olofsson, Eddie Kramer, Michael Joseph, Barry Feinstein, Baron Wolman, Michael Cooper, Michael Putland, Bob Gruen, Mark Weiss, Chris Makos, William Coupon, David Fenton, Claude Gassian, Ross Halfin, Mark Seliger, and Fernando Aceves.

Keith Richards comments in today’s New York Times about the bands 50 years together that “You can’t get away from that number.” Today the Stones celebrate by releasing a greatest hits album called The Rolling Stones Grrr! featuring 50 tracks on three CDs.

The photographs in Rolling Stones 50×20 are available through Govinda Gallery.
